Simpson Davits and have been developing products to improve on the traditional davit for many years. The lastest result is the new Series 8 Davit, improving the well proven design of the established Series 7 Davit, with an improved gearbox assembly and different finishing options.
The Simpson Series 8 Davit retains a seven sided structure giving the davit a greatly improved look and retaining all of the strength of the traditonal design.
The Series 8 models were conceived with electrification very much in mind and the power version has no external motor casing to detract from the streamlined shape.
Power winches have historically been avoided on sailing yachts due to battery capacity on board, but this unit is designed to keep current drain to minimum and make the powered option a first choice especially as manual override is fitted as standard. The Series 8 Davit comes in various size configurations with lifting capacities from 150kg to 300kg per pair (please note 300kg not available in manual version). Simpson Davits - Traditional Davits

| Models 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250 Traditional Davits have been designed to lift or lower weights up to 250kg (550lbs) per pair. They are manually operated, and incorporate an adjustable sliding arm extension for final positioning of the raised dinghy or tender. Standard base allows for the easy access of the securing bolts and can be used in conjunction with transom brackets or deck shoes, which makes for the easy removal of the davits for stowage. |

Simpson Davits - Handylift Outboard Davit

A simple tube davit is designed to take the effort out of lifting outboards and other weighty articles aboard from tender or pontoon.
Lifting capacity ranges from 35 to 125kg according to model. An optional mid-height swivel joint is available to allow stowage in small spaces. The fixing clamp slides on the lower section of the Handylift tube and uses the pushpit rail as a support. Base size is 100 x 100mm with an offset socket for fitting next to toe rail (125KG has different system please contact us for details). All models in 316 stainless steel. . |
